Another sunny autumn day today and this word has been added to my vocabulary:
秋晴れ - akibare
I couldn't find it in my Japanese/English dictionary so I looked it up in the 広辞苑 (koujien) Japanese dictionary instead. It said:
秋の、すっかり晴れ渡った天気。
あきの、すっかりはれわたったてんき。
秋 - aki - autumn
すっかり - sukkari - completely
晴れ渡る - harewataru - to clear up, to be cloudless
天気 - tenki - weather
秋晴れ = clear autumnal weather
There are some examples of it's usage here on SPACEALC.
And here's another one from Jim Breen's dictionary:
このところの美しい秋晴れは、雨の多かった夏の埋め合わせをしてくれている。
This beautiful autumn weather we've been having makes up for the wet summer.
