I have a terrible habit of putting things off till later and very often till the last possible moment. So this expression is one I feel I must take to heart:
思い立ったが吉日。 - おもいたったがきちじつ。 － The moment you think of doing something is the lucky day.
思い立つ － 思い立つ － to think of doing, to decide to do, to make up one's mind to do...
吉日 － きちじつ － lucky day
This expression means that the moment you decide to do something is the best time to act upon it, in other words there is no time like the present.
